Hey, Kix –
Here’s my crazy story that you’re not gonna believe. 25 years ago I met this girl at a bar in Memphis. We hit it off but she was seeing somebody else at the time and that was that.
Fast forward 24 years and one day her name popped into my head, so I did a Facebook search and found quite a few ladies with the same name! But, luckily I figured out which one was her and sent a friend request. Well, lo and behold, she accepted it!
And…this is where it gets fun…we started getting to know each other a little bit. First on Facebook and then she gave me her number and we started talking on the phone. Then, get this. She only lives a couple hours from me so after weeks and weeks of talking, we finally made a plan to meet IN PERSON in a public place in the broad daylight.
Here we are a year later and we’re officially dating and having an absolute blast! We’ve both been through a lot in life and are now at the time and place where we enjoy the moments. We hike and camp and cook great meals together. We both love the outdoors and family.
It’s a great match…but I still can’t believe we found each other all these years later and finally got a chance to see what would happen! You just never know!
