Hi Kix,
Our story started in 1977. My husband, whose name is Mike, was a blind date, but I insisted he come to my house for the first meeting. I was totally unimpressed – he came in barefoot and sat on my stereo console – which was a huge piece of furniture in those days! I told him he could stay for one hour. At the end of the hour, I walked him to the door and he said, "We're still going to meet on Saturday night, right?" I said, "Yes," although I was dreading it.
So, Saturday night came around and I went with my girlfriend and her brother and his wife in this big pickup truck. Mike was to meet us at this bar. My friend's date showed up promptly. We waited and waited for Mike to come and I thought, "OH good – I can just sit here and drink, and I'll be so happy if he DOESN’T show up!" Pretty soon – here he comes – and honestly, it was love at "second" sight! We were married 5 weeks later (my family thought I had lost my mind) and we just celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary this past April.
Mike is my best friend, my lover, my confidante – I love him more and more each day. I can count the number of arguments we've had on one hand and still have fingers left over. We truly appreciate and respect each other. My heart still skips a beat when I hear his voice on the phone and when he walks in the door. We flirt with each other every single day.

Well, I'm not sure what happened on that second date, Bonnie Rose… I'm guessing that just the fact that he had shoes on must have been a real turn on!!! I love a woman that doesn't get too caught up on formalities. I like the first date when you put him on the clock – "Okay, you've got one hour – let's see whatcha got!"
