Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not? – Sam’s Story

This is where YOU tell us YOUR love stories!  You know, like how you met your honey… how you found true love after all this time… or maybe even how you finally got back together with the one that got away.  You get the idea – whatever your "happily ever after" is, we wanna hear it!!!

This week's story is from Sam in Maine who writes…

Dear Kix,

I met my boyfriend when we were both about to be seniors in high school on a trip for People to People. I thought he was cute but I never had the courage to talk to him. Two years ago I saw he was going into the Marines and messaged him on Facebook wishing him the best of luck. We talked on and off for a few months then stopped talking all together.

Last year we started talking again and totally fell for each other. But, he is stationed on the other side of the country. When he took leave last year, it was the first time in 3 years we had actually seen each other.  And, at a Brantley Gilbert concert, we had our first kiss and truly fell in love.  Now, we just celebrated our one year anniversary together while he is deployed… but thank goodness he's coming home soon!

Thanks, Kix!

Signed,
Sam

Kix's response:

Well, Sam, you guys seem to be a lesson in patience, and I think that's what it takes to have a relationship with a deployed service member – and that goes for all you troops listening out there. God bless you for your service to America and all the sacrifices you make including giving up the chance to have a "normal" relationship that most of us take for granted!  And, as they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder and he'll be home before you know it, Sam. Hang in there and someday you two can look back and realize how special it is when you wait for what you've got!

Alright, now it's your turn.  Tell us your long lost love story or whatever kind of romance nonsense tale you got! Feel free to include pictures of you and your sweetheart, too.  Send us a message on Facebook or email us at American Country Countdown.
