This is where YOU tell us YOUR love stories! You know, like how you met your honey… how you found true love after all this time… or maybe even how you finally got back together with the one that got away. You get the idea – whatever your "happily ever after" is, we wanna hear it!!!
This week’s story is from Jenni in Wisconsin who writes…
Dear Kix,
I met my husband, Noah, two years ago when he came to teach fire safety to my preschool class. He was so sweet with the kids, answering all of their questions and being excited when they wanted to touch all of his gear. He really got me when he sat down on the floor right with the kids and talked at their level. He kept the attention of twenty four and five year olds for over an hour! I knew I had to get to know him better.
On our first date, we ended the night by talking in his truck for over three hours. I knew he was the one! I even left a small scuff in his new boots so he would always remember me!
Six months after we started dating, he got into a tragic motorcycle accident, leaving him with an above elbow amputation and a below knee amputation, both on the same side. I stood by his side through months of intensive care and rehabilitation. Finally, two weeks after he got out of the rehabilitation center, we went on a fishing trip.
On our first morning there, he proposed out on a calm and glistening lake in the North Woods. It was magical! We had an eleven-month engagement and then a dream wedding just four months ago!
We are now building our future together. We are buying a house and have a baby on the way. What started with the kids in my class turned into love and is now a happily ever after story of strength, hope and love!
Thanks,
Jenni
