Singer-songwriter Jewel's music has stretched the boundaries of genres through the years. Jewel scored huge pop hits with songs like "You Were Meant For Me" and "Foolish Games," but country fans really got to know her back in 2008. That year, she released her first straight-ahead country album Perfectly Clear, featuring the singles "Stronger Woman," "I Do" and "Till It Feels Like Cheating." A couple of years later, Jewel followed that project up with Sweet and Wild. This year, Jewel got further in touch with the roots of country when she took on the role of playing the legendary June Carter Cash in the Lifetime movie Ring of Fire.
Currently, Jewel is getting into the holiday spirit with the release of her second Christmas album Let It Snow: A Holiday Collection, which is available now. Kix recently welcomed Jewel in our studio to catch up on her new project as well as what is in store for her music career in the future. Plus, she shares what it was like to step into the iconic shoes of June Carter Cash and more in this episode of Kix TV.
