Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not? – Amie-Lynn’s Story

This is where YOU tell us YOUR love stories!  You know, like how you met your honey… how you found true love after all this time… or maybe even how you finally got back together with the one that got away.  You get the idea – whatever your "happily ever after" is, we wanna hear it!!!

This week's story is from Amie-Lynn in Oregon who writes…

Dear Kix,

First of all, I want you to know that our love story is a wonderful work in progress!

Our love story starts back in 2010 where I met my guy at our local movie theatre. He was a few years older than me but I really liked him.  However, we decided to just be friends for a while because I was leaving soon for a job out of state.  Fast forward to 2012, I had finally returned home, and he decided that he was done waiting.  He told me that he had liked me since we first met and he wanted to do something about it!  So, he did and he asked me out!  It was the best decision I ever made deciding to accept his invitation to date.

But, the reason I said our love story is a work in progress is because I’ve had to move away for work, again, and he wasn’t able to come with me. He’s in school to eventually become a nurse.  So, we are doin’ the long distance thing. So far so good – every morning and every night we call each other, and we even write each other old-fashioned love letters.

Kix, I wanted you to know that I have never met any other guy like him. I truly believe he is one in a million and I love him with all my heart and I know, without a doubt, that we can make this work no matter how much space is between us.

Thanks Kix,
Amie-Lynn

Kix's Response:

Amie-Lynn, I know what you’re going through. Barb and I were about a thousand miles apart when I first moved to Nashville to write songs, and we thought we would wait til things got rolling, but guess what, love wins again and we realized as long as we were together the other stuff would work itself out – and thirty years later, here we are…living and loving the dream!

Hang in there – I like your chances!

Alright, now it's your turn.  Tell us your long lost love story or whatever kind of romance nonsense tale you got! Feel free to include pictures of you and your sweetheart, too.  Send us a message on Facebook or email us at American Country Countdown.
