Dear Kix,
My husband, Micheal, and I met over nine years ago while I was in college. I'm kind of a book-worm and any chance I had to get off campus I took…and I headed to Books-A-Million. I loved to study there or get lost in whatever book I could.
One day I happened to be sitting on the floor reading and the next thing I know someone tripped over me and fell down to my side. After making sure we were both okay, we shared a laugh and then sat and talked like old friends for hours.
We decided we should have our first date, right then and there… and went straight to IHOP for chocolate chip pancakes. One year later, we were engaged, and this coming April, we will have been married for eight years.
I wouldn't change anything, even us running off and eloping because we just couldn't wait any longer. I have truly married my best friend and the love of my life.
