Dear Kix,
My boyfriend Matt and I have been together for a little over 2 years now. We first met at our junior prom in high school. We kept in touch after prom and didn’t see each other again until our senior year. But, on September 9th, 2011, he finally asked me out…and of course I said YES! Since that day, he has been there with me through everything and he was my shoulder to cry on when my grandmother passed away.
When we graduated from high school, he signed up for the Navy, and on December 10th, 2013, he left for boot camp. Since then, the only communication we’ve had is through writing old-fashioned letters…but I really feel they keep our relationship strong. The past two months are the longest we have ever been apart but we get to be reunited soon!
He is my rock and my one true love… but most of all he is my very best friend.

Well, thanks for your letter, Cassie! I love that you guys are actually writing “old fashioned” letters – whatever happened to those? No wonder the post office is going out of business – it’s either bills or catalogs at my house, nobody writes letters any more! That can be sexy though…I’ve still got a few saved from my wife Barbara when we were dating! Keep it up, and he’ll be home before you know it! Good luck to you two!
