Our Kidde Hero of the Week spotlights Craig Morgan.

Not only is Craig a former fireman, police officer and army vet, he's also incredibly generous and dedicated to giving back. His charity The Craig Morgan Foundation benefits the building and maintaining of a home called Billy's Place. It's in Dickson County, Tennessee and its a refuge for temporarily displaced children. And, this year, they're hosting a 5K run on March 23rd and all the proceeds are benefiting Billy's Place!

In addition to his work on behalf of Billy’s Place, Craig has partnered with Kidde in order to spread the word about the “Be a Safety Hero” program and how you can put five key steps to safety in action in your own home. Craig says, “As a former first responder, I’ve seen the damage home fires can cause. Many home fire deaths are preventable, and I want to do what I can to help keep families safe.” During stops on Craig’s 2014 The Journey Tour, Kidde will donate 5,000 of their Worry-Free 10-year sealed battery smoke alarms to fire departments so that they can provide them to homes in need within their local communities.
