Dear Kix,
My love story starts with the end of a rough marriage, but I was left with four amazing boys. It was then that I had to learn a lot about myself and how I wanted to raise my boys… Unfortunately, they didn’t have the best male example in their lives previously.
My boys are my world, so I never expected to find someone who would have the same strong family values as mine…and who would accept ALL of us. One day, though, this nice man came into our lives and we’d meet at my sons’ games, and he’d take us ALL out to dinner, not just me… He was very persistent but very respectful! I still had my concerns, though…I wasn’t one to trust too quickly.
The moment I fell in love with him was when my oldest son, who doesn’t trust any man, crawled up into his lap one evening to watch TV with him. How could I doubt a man who my boys trusted completely?
Three years later, he’s taking great care of us and is the exact same man as he was in the beginning. He and his son have joined our family perfectly, and I couldn't ask for anything more. I would be proud to have my boys grow up to be a man like him.
Thanks to him… my boys and I, can finally love and trust again!
