Our Kidde Hero of the Week spotlights Brendan Milewski.

Recently, on People.com, Kix read about how Brendan Milewski is spreading the good word about his fellow first responders and wanted to share it with you!

As a Detroit firefighter, Brendan's life changed forever when a two-story blaze got out of control, and a 300-pound block of limestone fell and trapped him beneath it.

Now, for the past three years, Brendan has been in a wheelchair, but he told People.com, "Even though my legs don't work, I still have a voice." So, these days he’s fighting to remind everyone of the extreme sacrifices firefighters make on a daily basis for all of our safety. One of the ways that he is spreading the word is through the the award-winning documentary Burn.

Check out this preview for Burn:

Here at ACC, we can’t say enough about our public servants – fire fighters, police officers, medics and more – right here at home… Thank you so much for all you do!
