Dear Kix,
Well, we met the good old-fashioned way – at church. I had seen Sarah around and had been told by several people that I should get to know her. I asked her to go out for coffee; she said yes, turned around and walked away. I had no way to get a hold of her, no set day, nothing. But, I tracked her number down through a mutual friend and we went out. It was supposed to just be coffee, but after dinner and talking for four hours, Sarah called it a date. We just hit it off instantly.
Our relationship was solid, fun and self-propelled – it didn't take any effort. We took things slow and had our first kiss a few months later. It was amazing. It was interrupted by a bear walking past fifty yards from where we stood, but still amazing.
Three months later I proposed, and we got married a year to the day of our first date. The most wonderful part is that things just get better and better. We have a beautiful son and are looking forward to more. I can't imagine my life without these two wonderful people.
