Our Kidde Hero of the Week spotlights Bradly Haywood.

This week, Victoria emailed us with her nomination and we wanted to share it with you:

Dear Kix,

I nominate Bradly Haywood because this man decided to raise his daughter all by himself.

At 53 years old, Bradly was involved with a younger woman and when she got pregnant, she planned to terminate it. But, Bradly so desperately wanted to raise the child that he fought for his little girl… he even took the mother and the state of California to court, and without ever hiring an attorney, he won custody of the unborn baby…and ultimately, saved her life!

Bradly was there on the day of her birth and has been there for her ever since! Her name is Norionna.  He’s the dad and the mom and Bradley is doing a wonderful job! Norionna is the most polite and intelligent three-year-old I’ve ever met and I’ve never seen a happier child.

So, our family and the Klamath Falls community would like Bradley to be honored as your hero. I have never heard of any other man going through what he did to keep his unborn child… and the sacrifices he makes everyday for her now!  He is truly remarkable!

Thanks, Kix!

Signed,
Victoria

Kix's Response:

Wow! I didn’t even know you could do that. It’s probably not my place to get in to the legalities of what all happens there, but I don’t care, you get a big ole attaboy from me on saving the kid.

Bradly, keep up the good Daddy work!
