Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not? – Kimberly’s Story

This is where YOU tell us YOUR love stories!  You know, like how you met your honey… how you found true love after all this time… or maybe even how you finally got back together with the one that got away.  You get the idea – whatever your "happily ever after" is, we wanna hear it!!!

This week’s story is from Kimberly who emailed us and wrote…

Dear Kix,

In 2010, I had a live-in boyfriend who threw a big party at our place and it was actually on my birthday but not for my birthday.  Well, one of his friends Jason came to the party, and when he found out it was my birthday, he felt so bad he didn't bring a present that he wound up doing all the dishes from the party and cleaned my whole kitchen.

After that night, he started coming over more often and one night, I had made a batch of fresh peanut butter cookies and he ate just about the whole pan. From then on, I made those cookies every night I knew he was coming over…which was quite often.

The live-in boyfriend and I finally broke up and he moved out.  And then, Jason and I spent our first date in the garage under a truck trying to fix a leak together. The entire time I kept thinking "Is he going to kiss me?" and come to find out he was thinking the same thing.

A few months later, we heard that song "Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not?" and made it ours!  Now, whenever it comes on, we drop what we are doing and dance to it.  And, I'm happy to report we were married in 2011!

Funny story, though… I later learned that Jason hates peanut butter but said those were the best cookies he ever had. Now, I make him oatmeal raisin.

Thanks, Kix!

Signed,
Kimberly

Kix's Response:

Well, well… So, your man Jason – the cookie monster – just moved right on in there…washing the dishes, eating the cookies and finally dragging you up underneath the pick-up… What could be sexier than that? What took you so long dude?!?!

Good story… Thanks, Kimberly!
