Dear Kix,
My hero would be my dad. He served in the Navy for seven years as a navy pilot on an aircraft carrier. He is home now and married to my mom. He is a huge inspiration to me and he teaches me so much.
I plan to someday follow in his footsteps and be a Navy pilot. I know when someday I am battling just like he was, I will just think of what he told me – “Don’t let the past get in the way of what’s right in front of you.” In this case, he is trying to tell me to forget about the times that we would fight and butt heads and go fight for your country and I will be right in your heart watching over you. I am so thankful that God gave me my dad.
