Our Kidde Hero of the Week spotlights Jason Brown.

Kix kept hearing about this story from a lot of folks and saw it and wanted to share it!

Former St. Louis Rams center Jason Brown chose to move on from playing in the NFL to spending time helping those in need. In 2012, he left behind a 37 million contract to buy 1,000 acres of farmland to use to help to feed Missouri’s hungry.

By gathering advice from farmers and watching some YouTube videos, Jason learned how to farm.  Now, he's growing sweet potatoes and cucumbers and donated his first harvest of over 100,000 lbs. of food to local food pantries!

Although his agent said leaving the NFL was the biggest mistake of his life, Jason disagrees – instead, he says he’s serving God and that he has never felt more successful.

Watch our buddy Steve Hartman's story which was featured during his "On the Road" segment on the CBS Evening News:

Kix's Response:

Wonder why his agent said that?!?! Proud of ya, Jason! Keep up the good work!
