This week’s story is from Nick who emailed us his love story.
Dear Suzanne,
My story is about a young lady that, in the beginning, I called Mandie. I met her the very first day of a brand new job at a Ford dealership, and she instantly blew me away. Over the next few months I realized how different she was – she hunts, fishes, and would rather go mudding than sit around and gossip – not your typical lady for sure.
Well, one day we got to talking and things just sort of began spilling out. I learned that five years earlier, her children lost their father and she lost her fiancé. The three of them had a rough few years to say the least. But the more we talked and learned about each other, the more we felt like we’d known each other forever.
Our very first date was under the stars on a hot summer night, and I’ve spent every single second since that night doing everything I can to make sure she is happy. When she smiles, it’s not hard to see that she is. We just aren’t ourselves when we’re apart.
Nowadays, I’ve got about 50 different pet names for her so I don’t need to call her Mandie anymore, and probably never will again.
There’s not one thing I wouldn’t do for this woman. If I spend the rest of my life making her happy then not a second will have gone to waste. She taught me what love really is and that’s something that EVERYONE should know!
