I do get asked that a lot, Kendon, and my mother had quite the sense humor, so even though I actually carry the name of my father and grandfather – I’m Leon Eric Brooks III – apparently, I was really kicking in my mamma’s tummy the weeks before I was born. So, she said, "I’ll show this little sucker," and she appropriately named me Kix – and if my kids were any indication that whole kicking thing happens more times than not, but all the years later, I’ve still never met another Kix.
