Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not? – Alicha’s Story

This is where YOU tell us YOUR love stories!  You know, like how you met your honey… how you found true love after all this time… or maybe even how you finally got back together with the one that got away.  You get the idea – whatever your "happily ever after" is, we wanna hear it!!!

This week’s story is from Alicha who writes…

Dear Kix,

My sister actually introduced me to my husband Curtis. I had moved back home for a job, after finishing school, and decided I wanted to get into horse back riding. That’s when my sister said, she knew a guy.

Sure enough, not too long after that, she introduced the gentleman and I, and he took me riding for the long 4th of July weekend. We rode until dark and spent the rest of the night talking by the campfire. The next morning he said he wanted to take me to one of his favorite places – straight up a goat trail!!! I was sure my horse and I would fall to our deaths, but we made it and the view from the top was amazing. The ride down was terrifying, but we survived and went to watch the fireworks together that night.

After that, we were inseparable and one day I blurted out, "We should just get married" to which he said, "Yes!"  We were married on September 4th, 2007 – just two short months after our first date.

Of course everyone thought we had lost our minds, but I guess some things are just meant to be. We now have two beautiful sons that are five and two and will celebrate eight years of marriage this summer. I am so lucky to be married to the love of my life.

Thanks for listening!

Signed,
Alicha

Kix's Response:

What a good story, Alicha!

You can’t be listening to all your friends calling you crazy… Just follow your heart – that’s what my dad always told me, and it sounds like you guys figured that out on your own.
