Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not? – Breanne’s Story

This is where YOU tell us YOUR love stories!  You know, like how you met your honey… how you found true love after all this time… or maybe even how you finally got back together with the one that got away.  You get the idea – whatever your "happily ever after" is, we wanna hear it!!!

This week’s story is from Breanne who writes…

Dear Kix,

My love story started back when I was in high school. At the time, I wasn’t looking for a relationship. I was a farmer’s daughter, so I had my animals, four wheeler, snowmobile, and other outdoor activities to keep me busy and entertained. I didn't need a man to keep me happy, but that changed one day.

I was on Facebook when I saw a handsome face that caught my eyes. His name was Douglas. Doug was also from a small town not to far from mine – a country boy, too. We finally met up at a restaurant and started dating! He showed such great love for me and his family and friends, I thought that nothing could bring us down… but sadly, Doug was diagnosed with cancer at the age 20.

We were all so sad by the news, but Doug remained strong, happy and full of laughter. He was more concerned about us than himself. Happily, Doug defeated his cancer and still to this day is cancer free.

By dating Doug, I learned to never give up on myself. He's a great man, son, friend and lover. I will always admire his strength and care for others. Doug's the greatest gift God gave me.

Signed,
Breanne

Kix's Response:

Great letter, Breanne – and sometimes hanging in, when you get dealt a bad hand, is what makes the world mean something to you. Obviously, when the opportunity is there, we can learn a lot from others and how they deal and it sounds like Doug has blessed you with some valuable lessons.

You guys hang in there, and be careful on that snow mobile – y'all drive those things too dang fast!!!
