Dear Kix,
I have listened to the show for a while now, and when I heard about this "Hero of the Week" segment, I was so touched that I thought I would acknowledge my own true hero.
Roger Cook is my hero. He’s my step-dad and he’s amazing. He has been in my life through thick and thin with unwavering love and support, and I love him for that!
Every time I hear "Watching You" by Rodney Atkins, I’m reminded of the great man and role model I have in my life!
Step-parents like mine deserve more recognition!

Good one, Chris, and I agree. Good for all you step-parents out there who step up and give these young people the chance to learn the difference between right and wrong that they may not have gotten otherwise.
