This is where YOU tell us YOUR love stories! You know, like how you met your honey… how you found true love after all this time… or maybe even how you finally got back together with the one that got away. You get the idea – whatever your “happily ever after” is, we wanna hear it!!!
This week’s story comes from Lynaelee who writes…
Dear Kix,
When I met my husband, I never would have imagined it to start like this…
I had just finished my first semester of college and was enjoying some family time, but on the journey home, I lost my phone. The day after Christmas, I checked my voicemails and came across a rather inappropriate and drunk message! Not recognizing the voice or the number, I called it and chewed out the guy who answered. Turns out, he wasn’t the one who called or left me the message; it was a college friend who had borrowed his phone to call me.
A month into the new semester, my roommate was talking on the phone with a guy she had recently met. Not wanting to hang up on him. I offered to keep him on the line. I took the phone and said, “Tara’s personal secretary. How can I help you?” The guy’s response was “Shoot! I know that voice!” Well, I recognized his voice too… it was the nice innocent guy I thought had left me the nasty voice mail…
After apologizing profusely, he asked if we could finally meet because he had never run across anyone who could scare him over the phone.
By the end of the semester, we were dating and I eventually moved to his hometown. A year later, we got married.
Now we have been together seven years and have four daughters! Sometimes love makes an appearance when we least expect it, but we always have to be willing to let it take its course.
Thanks for listening,
Lynaelee

Kix’s Response:
Way to give the dude a chance, Lynaelee! It sounds like that call was just meant to happen… Congrats to you both!
