Dear Kix,
I’d like to nominate PFC John Garza of Helotes, Texas, as the Hero of the Week. He’s an incredible husband, father, and serviceman for our country. He’s been in South Korea since last October and is due home this October where he’ll be stationed in Fort Knox.
I haven’t seen my husband in almost a year, and yet, he still manages to do everything for us even from overseas. Our daughter and I are so appreciative and we can’t wait to see him and to finally have him home!

Good grief… Can you imagine being without your dad or husband or wife for a year? That is service to your country.
I’m afraid we forget sometimes the everyday sacrifices our troops are making out there. I say it a lot, but to all you guys and gals in camo listening out there on American Forces Radio, thanks so much for everything you do!
