It’s about Deborah and Carlo, who met in the green room of Jeopardy! You can’t make this stuff up!
So, Deborah had made the show and was telling some of her fellow contestants that during her selection process, she knew the answer to the clue — “Longest title of an ASCAP record.” Deb answered “What is ‘How Could You Believe Me When I Said I Loved You When You Know I’ve Been a Liar All My Life’?”
And, she bragged that she was evidently only the second person in the show’s history to answer that one correctly. One of the other contestants walked up at that point, shook her hand and said “I was the first.” That was Carlo.
Deb kinda thought he was a know-it-all, but they ended up flirting… and the next thing you know it’s “How about love for a 100, Alex?!” The thing you do when you’re hopelessly attracted to each other. What is – “Get married?!” Yes, they did, and they’ve been playing that game for 26 years. That’s pretty good, isn’t it? And yes, they still watch Jeopardy together all the time!
