Hey there Kix,
I met my now-wife through a co-worker. Over the next six years, I chased her and asked her out to dinner, for drinks, and even just to hang out, but I always got the same answer… No! She was either dating someone, had just broken up with someone, or just didn’t have time… But, I never gave up hope.
Then, right after I had back surgery, she volunteered to help me out. She came over to my house and fed my dog, cleaned, did my laundry, and even kept me supplied with DVDs. Finally, once I felt better, I asked her if she would like to go for a ride on my motorcycle, and she said yes! We’ve been together ever since.
My mother said I’d be crazy to let her go, which is a big deal coming from my mom… So, on March 1st of 2008, we got married!
There’s something to starting out as friends and creating a history! I’m not sure how I was lucky enough to find and marry this fantastic, beautiful lady, but I thank the good Lord daily that he allowed it. She is not only my wife, but my very best friend.
