This is where YOU tell us YOUR love stories! You know, like how you met your honey… how you found true love after all this time… or maybe even how you finally got back together with the one that got away. You get the idea – whatever your “happily ever after” is, we wanna hear it!!!
This week’s story comes from Rebecca who writes…
Dear Kix,
I met my husband, David, for the first time when I was in middle school and he was in high school. He had picked my older sister up for a date, but they decided to just be friends. He eventually went off to college and I did the same, never thinking our paths would cross again, but always hoping they would.
And then, one weekend when we were both home, we ran into each other at a local hangout and talked all night. We both knew right away we were meant to be together and things moved pretty fast after that! Life was amazing, and we were so happy! But then, in an instant, everything changed.
Just a few days after David asked me to marry him, he was in a horrible car accident that left him paralyzed from the neck down. We battled financial and legal hurdles, and we had a lot to learn… but we did it, together! Now, over ten years later, we are happily married and have two beautiful children. I’ve finished school, and we have a lovely life together.
True love knows no boundaries, Kix, and we are proof of that! Despite everything we’ve gone through and the hand we were dealt, I can honestly say…we are blessed! Soul mates do exist!
Thanks for reading our story! We LOVE your show!
Sincerely, Rebecca

Kix’s Response:
Rebecca, this one of the best stories I’ve ever gotten. I know there are a lot of military families out there who deal with this kind of thing every day. From talking with some of those couples, dealing with and overcoming physical handicaps can be the greatest victories that life has to offer. Thanks so much for this great love story!
