This is where YOU tell us YOUR love stories! You know, like how you met your honey… how you found true love after all this time… or maybe even how you finally got back together with the one that got away. You get the idea – whatever your “happily ever after” is, we wanna hear it!!!
We found this week’s story on Redbook.com, written by Amanda, and we wanted to share it with you…
A few years ago, near midnight on the night before Christmas Eve, I was stuck in the San Francisco airport. It turns out a monstrous blizzard had created tons of cross-country travel chaos with countless delayed and cancelled flights.
My fiancé and I had broken up on Thanksgiving, so I had spent the past month quite upset about spending the holidays alone. So, I parked myself on the filthy floor near a power outlet. I plugged in and went online. When I checked my messages on Facebook, I had a flirty message from a Montana based writer whose name and work were familiar to me, but whom I had never met. Of course, we were friends online but didn’t really know each other…
Truth be told, I was a fan of his writing and had previously thought about sending him a message but because he looked like a bad boy and I had been in a relationship at the time, I never did. But, for some reason, that night, maybe because of the holidays, I sat in the airport and started messaging with him back and forth to pass the time.
Well, that message exchange lasted for the next two weeks until he finally drove 18 hours to LA to take me out. Then, he rented a house close by so we could date. A few months later, we moved in together and now, I’ve spent the holidays with him in Montana, every year since!
I guess you could say, my flight was delayed, but love-connection was right on time! And, had it not been for the holiday timing, who knows what could have happened.
