Timing is everything as they say and that certainly rings true for singer-songwriter Chris Janson. After kicking around Music City for over ten years and a few false starts, things started coming together for Chris with a little song called “Buy Me a Boat.” Chris self-released the tune and it soon caught the attention of Warner Brothers Records. Before long, Chris had a record deal, an album in stores and a number one hit.
In his first visit to Kix TV back in October, Chris reflects on his early years in Nashville and how life changed for him when he became a family man. Plus, Chris and Kix talk about the craft of songwriting. It’s definitely something Chris knows more than a thing or two about since he had a hand in writing Tim McGraw’s “Truck Yeah” and LoCash’s “I Love This Life.”
