This week, we take a look at Jason Aldean’s “She’s Country:”
Songwriters Danny Myrick and Bridgette Tatum got together to write this one. Bridgette says that the idea came to her while she was driving in Nashville. So, she pulled over and recorded it in her phone. Then, she took it to Danny, and they made it into an anthem for country women with rock guitar riffs and Southern rock-country lyrics. When they finished it, they took it straight to Jason Aldean, and he loved it!
Jason released the song as the lead single off his Wide Open album, and it eventually became a number one hit in 2009, selling more than two million copies…
