This week, we take a look at Darius Rucker’s “Alright:”
Darius Rucker wrote this song with his producer Frank Rogers. Shortly after their initial writing session, Darius had to go to the hospital for an infection. So, they had put off finishing the song. Months later, they got back together in Charleston. But, that meeting? Yeah, it had a lot of drama – a neighbor girl who was visiting pulled an aquarium down on her face and had to be rushed to the hospital!
Well, despite all the chaos, both writers kept saying, “Everything’s gonna be alright,” and, yeah, that’s how the song was born!
Darius released the tune in the spring of 2009 off his Learn to Live album, and it eventually became his third #1!
