We’re always searching for a special person or organization to recognize as our Kidde Hero of the Week, and this time around, Debi sent us an email about her heroes! She writes:

Dear Kix,

I’d like to recognize my two sons and ALL the brave men and women in uniform who have served this great country!

My son Dakota Linck, who is 17, enlisted in the army and took his oath last month and reports to Fort Benning next summer for boot camp…

His older brother Army Staff Sergeant Henry W. Linck was an airborne ranger with 3rd/509th Fort Richardson, Arkansas. Sadly, he was killed in action ten years ago while in Iraq, but he still inspired Dakota to follow in his big brother’s boot-steps!

I’m so proud of my two sons and think they both deserved to be honored! And, I am grateful for ALL our military heroes on this Memorial Day and every day!

Thank you, Kix!

Debi Linck

Kix’s Response:

Wow… Well, first, I’m so sorry for your loss, Debi. I mean, you know more about support and dedication to our country than I ever will. And, yes, of course, we are proud to honor both of your songs this Memorial Day weekend as our Heroes of the Week.
