This week’s song was written by a guy who had spent 20 years working in a factory – songwriter Troy Jones. He wanted to write about something he knew really well, but he didn’t think anyone would record a song about a big ole pile of shiftwork! And, he was wrong!
Troy said that his publisher called him on a Saturday, which he never did, to tell him that George Strait and Kenny Chesney were going to cut his song as a duet.
The song was released in the winter of 2007 on Kenny’s Just Who I Am: Poets and Pirates album.
