Kix TV: Granger Smith

Some fans first became acquainted with Earl Dibbles, Jr.; others were initially introduced to Granger Smith… either way, both artists are crucial to the fans that make up Yee Yee Nation. And, what a force that grassroots movement is… those fans blazed a trail from Texas to Nashville, selling out shows and earning Granger (and Earl) a national presence through a record deal with Wheelhouse Records.

Now, Granger has a number one hit with his debut single “Backroad Song” and another one climbing the chart here at ACC with “If the Boot Fits” – both from Granger’s Remington album. And, Earl is definitely along for the ride… you can catch him on tour with Granger, and picking college football games on CBS Sports Network’s Inside College Football’s “Dip ‘Em and Pick ‘Em.”

Earlier this year, Granger came by to hang with Kix in studio. The guys discussed the Texas and Nashville music scenes. And, Granger detailed just how Earl Dibbles, Jr. and the Yee Yee Nation were born.
