Heather emailed us with her Hero nomination. She writes:
Dear Kix,
I want to nominate my fiancé Dustin.
When I was in my teens, he got me off the streets and away from an alcohol problem. Just when I felt hopeless and like nothing mattered, he showed me how to start my life over with a new sense of hope. Without him, I’d probably be homeless or even worse!
When nobody in my family cared, he showed me the bright light down the road. And, I finished school and started working.
Now, 11 years later, we have a family!!! Dustin was once my best friend, now he is my amazing fiancé and the father to our four beautiful babies.
Dustin is my hero, and I’m so glad he came into my life!

Well, Heather, we all need someone in our lives who we can trust and give us that inspiration when we get up in the morning to go out and make a difference. I’m glad you found Dustin… He sounds like quite a guy!!!
