Lora emailed us about her Hero, and this nomination definitely stood out to us… She writes:
Hi Kix,
My hero is my best friend and my fiancé Connor. He has been in the United States Navy for the past three years. He is one of the hardest workers I know. I have watched him study to make rank, meet qualifications, and stood by his side while he spent nine months deployed working 20 hour days.
Through these past years, I have watched him work so hard for our future together and to make himself the best role model for his seven year-old little brother. While he was away, he still made me smile and kept pushing forward, every day!
He was recently sent to do humanitarian work down south after the hurricane, and though he was not ready to go back out to sea, he made the best of it because he knew he was doing what he had to.
I love him and I’m so proud of everything he has done, and I can’t say enough about what a hero he is! I also cannot wait until he is my husband!
