The Song Remembers When: “Peter Pan” – Kelsea Ballerini

Well, Kelsea Ballerini earned her third consecutive number one single with a song called “Peter Pan.” It was from her debut album, The First Time. And, Kelsea co-wrote the song with Jesse Lee Levin and Forest Glen Whitehead. The inspiration came from some of the guys that Jesse had met in the past. And, she almost didn’t share the idea, which she’d written down almost six months prior to her writing session with Kelsea and Forest.

Jesse thought she’d give it a shot and everybody just kind flipped out, but it would take another three years before the song was recorded. It was Kelsea’s third number one, but the first one for her co-writer Jesse.
