Throughout the week, the ACC team looks through emails and news articles to find someone deserving of the Kidde Hero of the Week title.
This week, Alecia Weddle emailed ACC her nomination. She writes:
Hey, Kix…
I would like to nominate my mom, Michele, for Hero! She has been a wife, mother and grandmother for 35 years. She has also worked for the public school system all those years. This past year, she took a leave of absence to care for her father, my Pop-Pop. He suffered from dementia. She was his primary care giver until the very end.
She puts everyone else first. She is everyone’s hero, and I know she was my grandfather’s hero as well. We wouldn’t have had this last Christmas with him if it weren’t for the care my mom gave him.
