Throughout the week, our ACC Team searches through emails and news articles looking for someone who deserves to be the Kidde Hero of the Week…
This week, Halle Thompson emailed us her Hero nomination. She writes:
Dear Kix,
I’d like to nominate my dad. He is a deputy in town, and I have watched him go out each and every day putting others first. He has the biggest heart!
Back in March, he was on duty and received a call of a dog in a lake. When he got there, he spotted the dog who was struggling out there in the water. Without a thought, my dad jumped in and pulled that dog to safety. It turns out that sweet dog was blind and deaf and had gotten lost. My father helped reunite the dog with his owner.
This is a just one of the many reasons my dad is not only a hero to me but to our entire community.

Well, Halle, your dad sounds like a pretty great guy! And, I think it’s so important to recognize our law enforcement who are out there – hitting the pavement every day, protecting us and saving lives…even the lives of our pups!
