The Song Remembers When: “River Bank” – Brad Paisley

We take you behind the scenes and explore the making of one of our favorite tunes with The Song Remembers When…

So, Brad Paisley first performed his song “River Bank” on national TV during the ACM Awards in April of 2014. Just four months later, on August 16th, the song would peak on the radio chart.

Brad co-wrote the song with his frequent collaborator Kelley Lovelace.

Now, Brad grew up on the Ohio River. He said, “I called myself a river rat for years. My best memories are hanging out with my grandfather and father learning how to ski. All you need is an inner tube and a boat and you’ve got a theme park.”

Don’t forget this is the video that features Twiggy, the water skiing squirrel!

It was the lead single from Brad’s album Moonshine in the Trunk, and this week’s The Song Remembers When – “River Bank:”
