In 2012, Josh Turner’s song “Time Is Love” was named by Billboard magazine as the top song of the year even though it fell just short of number one. The song peaked at number two on the chart.
It was written by Tony Martin, Mark Nesler and Tom Shapiro. Now, Josh said that he loved songs written by Tony and Mark, and he felt like they just had it down when it came to songwriting. But, it was Tony who actually came up with the idea to write the song.
When Josh heard Mark’s voice on the demo, he was sold! And, he said that he just had to cut it. What he loved most about the song was the sentiment about quality time with that one special person.
