With 30 number ones, there’s no doubt that Kenny Chesney knows his way around a hit song. From his first chart-topper in 1997 “She’s Got It All” to his most recent “All the Pretty Girls,” Kenny has been a consistent presence at the top of the chart. That chart success is not only due to Kenny’s talent as an artist, but also the talents of the songwriters behind those hits. And, Kenny definitely has paid reverence to those writers throughout his career.
In this visit to Kix TV, Kenny and Kix talk about one iconic songwriter in particular – the great Guy Clark. Guy is the man behind “Hemingway’s Whiskey,” one of Kenny’s favorite songs from his catalogue. Also, the pair discuss meeting musical heroes, and Kenny’s tendency to call an audible during his live shows. Those poor lighting guys! Plus, Kenny takes Kix inside the creation of his second live album – Live in No Shoes Nation.
