Stephanie Yost of Philadelphia wrote in to nominate Sharon Snyder. She writes:
Since September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, I wanted to honor Sharon Snyder, who lost her son Kyle to Leukemia when he was just two years old.
In 2001, she created Kisses for Kyle in honor of her son. It’s a foundation that helps families and their children who are battling this terrible disease. They support families with financial aid, host retreats for parents, and even supply scholarships for teens going to college who have or are battling cancer. Sharon is a hero to so many and an inspiration in the fight against childhood cancer.
Thank you,
Stephanie

Suzanne’s Response:
Sharon, what amazing work you are doing and what a way to honor Kyle… No child should ever have to go through this, and its people like Sharon that get us one step closer to eliminating this awful disease.
So, Sharon, thank you! This week, we honor you as our Kidde Hero.
