This week’s story is about a fire department coming together for one of their own.
Mike Faherty is a firefighter with the Anne Arundel County Fire Department in Maryland. The department said that Mike is always the guy that goes above and beyond when it comes to helping out others, so they wanted to do something for him.
Well, Mike and his wife Karen had been in the process of adopting a baby for some time. So, the fire department wanted give Mike and his wife an incredible experience when they finally received their little boy.
The fire department worked with the adoption agency, and they enlisted the use of the ambulance and a fire truck to hand deliver the newly adopted baby to Mike and his wife. That little boy was carried up the steps to their home with members of the department watching on. The video of this moment has been viewed close to a half million times!
So, I’d like to recognize the men and women of the Anne Arundel Fire Department in Maryland as our Kidde Heroes for being the “storks who delivered the baby” to their buddy Mike and his wife Karen.

What an awesome moment! And, by the way, little baby Michael is doing great and has been showered with more toys and diapers then he could ever use!
