Kix TV: Brantley Gilbert

Over the past decade, fans have watched Brantley Gilbert go from hell-raiser to family man. And, while this Georgia born and bred singer-songwriter can still raise hell with the best of them, these days Brantley’s more concerned with being the best husband and father he can be… That and delivering music that’s true to who he is and the lifestyle that he leads.

You can look no further than Brantley’s latest album Fire & Brimstone to find all that and more. In recording this album, Brantley tapped into a no-rules attitude that allowed the songs to dictate their own direction. And, as a singer-songwriter, that freedom really spoke to Brantley.

In this visit with Kix, which took place prior to the arrival of baby girl Braylen, the Georgia native talks about the importance of writing what you know and goes in-depth about creating the title track. But first, Brantley and Kix discuss trying to strike a work-life balance and what time of day their respective creative juices flow.
