This week, our Hero story is short but sweet… An ACC listener Helen McFalls wrote in to nominate her neighbor Archie Hatcher. She says that Mr. Hatcher goes above and beyond, not just for her but for everyone in their community.
He fixed her driveway after the rain took its toll and caused it to cave in. He also tends to his own garden where he grows an assortment of vegetables. When he harvests those vegetables, he hands them out to Helen, her family, and others in the neighborhood. And, in turn, Helen rewards his calves with her cornbread and watermelon.
To Helen and the rest of neighbors, Mr. Hatcher is a Hero.

Kix’s Response:
Well, what a great story – neighbors helping each other out. I love it! Mr. Hatcher sounds like a great example of what it means to love thy neighbor and for that reason, Helen, we agree, Mr. Archie Hatcher is this week’s ACC Hero.
