The Song Remembers When: Jon Pardi – “Night Shift”

We take you behind the scenes and explore the making of one of our favorite tunes with The Song Remembers When…

Back in May, Jon Pardi reached the Top 5 with his song “Night Shift.” It was from his album California Sunrise – what a great album! “Night Shift” was written by Tofer Brown, Phillip LaRue, and Billy Montana.

When Jon heard it for the first time, he loved the beat of it. He also loved the sentiment of it, and he felt like it was a love song for the working man. The line that especially stood out to him was: “It’s been a wreck me week” – it was something everyone who puts in a 40-hour week could identify with. He felt that it was a story that he could sink his teeth into.

Here’s this week’s The Song Remembers When – Jon Pardi and “Night Shift”.
