Hero of the Week: Chrissy Nisbett

Throughout the week, our ACC Team searches through emails and news articles looking for someone who deserves to be the Hero of the Week… Find out how you can nominate a Hero of the Week at the bottom of the page.

This week, we received an email from Libby, who wanted to nominate her sister Chrissy Nisbett as a hero. She writes:

Dear Kix,

Chrissy has been a registered nurse for the past eight years. As a travel nurse, her career has taken her all over the country. But, most recently, she left for New York City to help with the COVID-19 outbreak.

I want her to know that her entire family is very proud of her courage and compassion. We know that when she heads back home to us, she will bring back a heavy heart and a bucket full of tears for all the pain she’s witnessed and the loss of life during this time.

She is our hero and we would love for her to be your Hero of the Week.

Thank you very much,
Libby

Kix’s Response:

Libby, it would be my honor to recognize your sister Chrissy. Please thank her for everything that she is doing.

So many of us get to stay home and keep ourselves and families safe, while our healthcare workers put in long hours and expose themselves to the virus every day in order to save lives.

So, Chrissy Nisbett, you are our ACC Hero this week. Be safe.
