Throughout the week, our ACC Team searches through emails and news articles looking for someone who deserves to be the Hero of the Week… Find out how you can nominate a Hero of the Week at the bottom of the page.
This week, we received a Facebook message from Kimberly McCabe in Attica, New York. Kimberly wrote in to nominate her husband Timothy who works for American Medical Response of Western New York. She writes:
Dear Kix,
I would like my husband to be recognized as your ACC Hero of the Week. He dropped everything a few months back and volunteered to go to New York City to work with the fire department during the COVID-19 outbreak. He was there for well over a month.
He is an EMT and not once have I known him to look for recognition for what he does. He even shies away from people when they thank him for his service. He is very selfless in all that he does. I am so proud of him and very proud to call him my husband.
Thank you, Kix!
Signed,
Kimberly
P.S. I attached some pictures you can use for his story. I had to steal his cellphone to get them for you.

Kix’s Response:
Well, Kimberly, thank you and nice detective work getting your husband’s phone without him knowing! He sounds like a great guy and committed to serving others. It’s guys like him that make this world a better place. And, we can’t get enough of that right now.
Thanks for your service, Timothy McCabe – you are our ACC Hero of the Week!
