We take you behind the scenes and explore the making of one of our favorite tunes with The Song Remembers When…
In 2012, Carrie Underwood released “Good Girl” from her album Blown Away.
The song leaned more towards a rock sound. Carrie said that she purposely went into the writing session with Chris DeStefano and Ashley Gorley wanting to give fans something they could rock out to. And, she said that writing with Chris is like watching a mad scientist at work. He started the track and she said it felt like the lyrics just came together.
The idea for “Good Girl” was to tell the story of the ex’s point of view and to warn the new girl that this guy wasn’t who she thought he was. This warning in the form of a song became Carrie’s 11th number one. And, its this week’s The Song Remembers When… Here’s Carrie with “Good Girl.”
