We take you behind the scenes and explore the making of one of our favorite tunes with The Song Remembers When…
Sam Hunt released his fifth and final single off his debut album Montevallo in 2016. That song, titled “Make You Miss Me,” would become Sam’s fourth number one hit.
Co-written with Josh Osborne and Old Dominion’s Matthew Ramsey, Sam said that he was inspired to write the song after dating a girl that didn’t seem too into the relationship. He explained that some girls have the personality of quickly getting bored with a relationship before it even has a chance to start, so this song was about not wanting to let that happen. The idea was to let her know you can move on, but I’m going to be memorable and I’m going to make you miss me.
It’s this week’s The Song Remembers When… Here’s Sam Hunt with “Make You Miss Me.”
